Good Samaritan Community Services has enjoyed significant growth since inception in San Antonio in 1951 and the establishment of the Rio Grande Valley sites in 2006. Our success is due to the generosity of many friends and former clients who wish to see the agency’s work continue to meet the challenges of our impoverished communities. We have been at the heart of local philanthropy for more than 57 years, and the countless individuals and corporations that have seen us through the years are all part of a great Texas legacy.
The coming years see no less of a challenge in addressing social problems: from alleviating poverty to improving education, some things are simply too big for one sector to solve on its own. Meeting that challenge requires strong, productive partnerships between friends, businesses, government and non-profit institutions. Contributions are vital to creating dramatic results in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley.
